Natasha Anasi is one of 20 women’s soccer players receiving the nod to represent the U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team on a challenging trip to La Manga, Spain, from Feb. 22-March 5, where the squad will take on the U-23 sides of Norway, England and Sweden.DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University junior
A defender from Arlington, Texas, Anasi received the invite from U.S. head coach Randy Waldrum. The team will play Norway on Feb. 28, Sweden on March 2 and close the four-team tournament against England on March 4.
Anasi, who is a two-time All-America for the Blue Devils, is coming off leading Duke to the NCAA Elite Eight for the fourth time out of the last six years. She was a part of a defense that registered six shutouts in 2012 and logged a team-high 2,017 minutes played on the year. Anasi was a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy in 2012.
