A Look at North Carolina...
North Carolina enters the match on Thursday with a 15-3 overall and 9-3 league mark.  The Tar Heels have won eight out of their nine matches with the lone loss coming to No. 1 Virginia, 2-0.  At home this season, UNC owns a 6-2 mark.  Crystal Dunn leads North Carolina with 12 goals, while Kealia Ohai has eight tallies and Summer Green owns six goals.

The Series with North Carolina...
North Carolina leads the overall series with Duke by a 35-2-1 mark.  Both of the Blue Devil wins have come in Chapel Hill in 2005 (2-1) and in 1994 (3-2).  Duke has a 2-13-1 mark in games played at UNC.  North Carolina has won eight matches in a row in the series.

Active NCAA Games Played Leaders...
Among active career stat leaders, Duke’s Natasha Anasi and Laura Weinberg each led the NCAA with 91 games played over the last four years.  The next closest are Ally Berry (WFU), Aubrey Bledsoe (WFU),  Kaitlyn Kerr (Duke), Marissa Diggs (UCF) and Ashley Nicol (UCF) with 90 games.

Duke Moves Up ACC Standings...
After going through a six-match winless streak, the Blue Devils are currently riding a five-match stretch with a 4-0-1 mark.  During the four-game unbeaten streak, Duke has outscored its opponents 11-5.
With the 13 points in the ACC standings over the last four matches, the Blue Devils have jumped to sixth in the league with one regular season contest remaining.

On the Road...
Duke owns a 3-3-2 mark on the road this season and is 2-1 versus ranked opponents.  Senior Laura Weinberg has scored four of the Blue Devils’ nine goals on the road this year.  Freshman Toni Payne has notched two goals and three assists on the road.

In the ACC Stats...
Redshirt-junior goalkeeper Meghan Thomas, ranks second in the ACC with a 0.46 goals-against average, while ranking No. 1 in save percentage (.885).
In ACC games only, Kelly Cobb is seventh in points (15) and tied fifth in goals (6).  Thomas is second in goals-against average (0.39) and tied first in save percentage (.917).

The Senior Class...
Over the last four years, the Duke senior class has led the Blue Devils to a 56-24-11, an appearance in the 2011 national championship game, a 2011 ACC regular season title, a NCAA Sweet 16 finish as well as an NCAA Elite Eight appearance.
The class is the winningest four-year group at Duke under the direction of head coach Robbie Church.

Against the ACC...
So far this season, Kelly Cobb has led Duke with six goals against ACC opponents, while Laura Weinberg has scored five, while adding four assists.
Weinberg owns 22 career goals against ACC opponents, which is the most by any Blue Devil in school history -- Walbert (16), Kester (15), Gummersall (15).  With 55 career points versus ACC foes, Weinberg is Duke’s all-time leading scorer with the next closest being Walbert (37).

Thomas Helps Big in the Net...
After missing 10 straight matches with a shoulder injury, redshirt junior Meghan Thomas has started the last five matches, leading Duke to a 4-0-1 mark in those contests.  Over the last five games, Thomas has posted two shutouts, a 0.39 goals-against average and 22 saves.
The 6-2 goalkeeper’s nine saves at Maryland was the most by a Blue Devil keeper all season.  Thomas came back to collect eight saves at ninth-ranked Notre Dame in a double-overtime win.
For her efforts at Maryland, Thomas was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week and to the CS360 Primetime Performers list on Oct. 15.  Thomas earned CS360 Primetime Performers list accolades for the second straight week on Oct. 23.

NCAA RPI...
The sixth NCAA RPI was released this week with Duke moving to No. 28.  The Blue Devils’ challenging schedule shows in the RPI -- losses to Virginia (1), Florida State (6), Wake Forest (15), UCLA (2) and South Carolina (17).
North Carolina is currently No. 3 in the latest RPI.

Duke Nets Key Overtime Win at No. 9 Notre Dame...
With less than two minutes remaining in double-overtime at No. 9 Notre Dame, Laura Weinberg made a great play on the Irish goalkeeper to steal the ball and score her 10th career game-winner to give Duke the much-needed three points in the league standings.

Tough Stretch...
Duke played four straight matches on the road from Oct. 6-20, while posting a 2-1-1 mark during those contests.  The Blue Devils’ win at Maryland snapped a six-match winless streak.
The six-match streak tied for the longest winless streak in Duke history (1996, 1991) and was the longest such streak since head coach Robbie Church joined the Blue Devils in 2001.
Only Duke, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest featured four-match road stretches during the 2013 ACC slate.

Weinberg moved into second place on Duke’s all-time points list with 100 and is only 17 away from first place.  Weinberg owns 39 career goals, which ranks No. 3 on the Blue Devil charts.  She is only one away from tying McCluskey (40) for second.
Weinberg totaled a career-high 16 goals and 12 assists in 2012. She is one of only two Blue Devils to reach the 100-point mark.
