DURHAM, N.C. – With the NCAA women’s soccer selection show to be aired on Monday, Nov. 11 beginning at 4:30 p.m., the Blue Devils are excited to hear when and where they will be playing as the road to the NCAA College Cup will get started next week.

The selection show will be aired live on on Monday at 4:30 p.m., as Duke is expecting to receive its 20th all-time NCAA Tournament bid, including its 11th straight.  The Blue Devils are coming off making a run to the NCAA Championship game in 2011 and advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight a year ago.

The 2013 campaign has been up and down for the Blue Devils, after losing four starters to graduation and dealing with many injuries during the year.  However, Duke has been playing some of its best soccer of the season entering NCAA action.  The Blue Devils have won four out of its last seven matches with the losses coming to third-ranked Florida State and fourth-ranked North Carolina.

Duke’s senior class of Mollie Pathman, Kaitlyn Kerr, Laura Weinberg, Natasha Anasi, Meghan Thomas, Alex Straton, Gilda Doria, Kim DeCesare and Avery Rape have guided Duke to at least the NCAA Sweet 16 in each of the last three years.

The Blue Devils (8-8-4) have been led on the offensive side of the pitch by junior Kelly Cobb (6 goals), Weinberg (5 goals), Kerr (5 goals) and DeCesare (4 goals).  Anasi, who is a two-time All-America, has anchored a defensive line that has featured three freshmen at times.  Freshman Christina Gibbons has come on as a rookie and started every match, while leading the Blue Devils in minutes played.

Earlier this week, Anasi and DeCesare earned All-ACC second and third team honors, respectively.  Gibbons and fellow rookie Toni Payne were named to the All-ACC Freshman team.
