Eight Blue Devils Receive Degrees Sunday

DURHAM, N.C. – A total of eight members of the Duke University women’s soccer program earned degrees from the institution Sunday.  

Receiving degrees were Alex Straton (economics and Spanish),Meghan Thomas (English along with a markets and management studies certificate), Natasha Anasi (political science along with a minor in sociology), Gilda Doria (evolutionary anthropology), Mollie Pathman (psychology), Avery Rape (history along with a markets and management studies certificate), Laura Weinberg (sociology along with a markets and management studies certificate) and Kaitlyn Kerr (psychology and a markets and management studies certificate).

The group of seniors were a part of the 2011 NCAA College Cup squad that registered a 22-4-1 overall and 8-1-1 ACC mark, including the ACC regular season title under head coach Robbie Church.

As a team, Duke posted a 9-9-6 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the third straight year before falling at top-seeded Virginia Tech, 3-0.
