SEATTLE, Wash. – Duke University senior Kelly Cobb has received the call to train with the U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team July 15-22 in Seattle, Wash.  Head coach Steve Swanson named a 24-player roster for its third training camp of the year.

This will be the first action with the U.S. National Team for Cobb since helping lead the U-20 squad to the gold medal at the World Cup in Japan with a 1-0 victory over Germany in 2012.

Over the last two years, Cobb has struggled with injuries scoring nine goals and dishing three assists in 34 matches.  A native of Chugiak, Alaska, Cobb opened her career at Duke with 11 goals, nine assists and 31 points in 2011 as the Blue Devils advanced to the National Championship match.  The 5-9 forward looks to close her Duke career strong in 2014.

Duke opens preseason practice Aug. 6 in Durham.
