DURHAM, N.C. – Duke sophomore goalkeeper Tara Campbell has been named Ronald McDonald House Charities Student-Athlete of the Week, after guiding the Duke women’s soccer team to NCAA Tournament victories over California and fifth-ranked Florida this past weekend.

The Blue Devils will next play in the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 on Friday, Nov. 19 at sixth-ranked Oklahoma State.  The match will be played at 8:00 p.m. (EST) and will be carried live on the Cowboy’s web site at http://www.okstate.com.

Campbell, who is a product of Cincinnati, Ohio, played all 200 minutes in goal as Duke posted a 2-1 win over California on Friday and downed fifth-ranked Florida, 4-2, on penalty kicks.  In Sunday’s second round match, Campbell had three saves and registered her career-best eighth shutout of the season.

During penalty kicks, Campbell saved the first attempt from the Gators and the Blue Devils went on to win 4-2 in the shootout. On Friday, Campbell notched three saves as California attempted 10 shots on the night.

Duke advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the third time out of the last four years.
