2012: Reserve defensive end ... could compete for game action this fall ... in the program’s post-spring weightlifting evaluation, ranked among the defensive line leaders in vertical jump (t3rd; 31.5”) and broad jump (4th; 9’5”).

2011: Did not see game action.

Prior to Duke: Four-year letterman at Piedmont under coach Frank Ambrose ... as a senior, carded 94 tackles, 28 tackles for loss and 11 sacks as Piedmont went 11-2, captured the Rocky River Conference championships and advanced to the state playoffs ... earned Rocky River Conference Defensive Player of the Year honors in 2010 ... earned all-area honors from the Charlotte Observer as a senior ... all-conference and all-county selection in 2010 ... in junior season, posted 54 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and six sacks ... also participated in basketball.
