Honors: Outdoor All-America (Javelin - 2014, 2015)...Outdoor ACC Champion (Javelin - 2014, 2015)...Outdoor All-ACC (Javelin - 2014, 2015)...NCAA East First Round Participant (Javelin - 2012, 2014, 2015)
2014-15: Had a career season as the Blue Devils’ top javelin specialist…Outdoors, capped the spring at the NCAA Championships (6/10) with the best throw of his career, setting the Duke record with a distance of 237-10 (72.50) to finish sixth and earn first team All-America honors…finished third at the NCAA East Preliminary Round (5/29) to secure his trip to the national meet, throwing the implement 228-11 (69.78)…won his second straight ACC title in the event at the ACC Outdoor Championships (5/16), capturing the conference crown with a throw of 231-8 (70.62)…produced his championship-clinching throw on his final attempt, moving from sixth to first…picked up two additional wins during the spring, placing atop the field at the Duke Invitational (4/11) and Carolina Relays (3/20)…came in second at both the Raleigh Relays (3/28) and the Duke Twilight (5/7)…did not compete during the 2015 indoor season.
2013-14: Outdoors, the javelin specialist saw a stellar outdoor season that included an All-America honor and a first-place finish at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a throw of 229-1 (69.83), which ranks second on Duke’s all-time list...advanced to the NCAA Outdoor Championships following a seventh-place finish at the NCAA East Preliminary Round meet (5/29)...placed 11th at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships with a mark of 218-3 (66.53) to garner the first All-America selection of his career…also won the Texas Relays (3/27) with a mark of 227-0 (69.21), the Joe Hilton Invitational (4/12) with a distance of 221-4 (67.46), the Carolina Relays (3/22) with a 220-3 (67.13) effort and the Wolfpack Last Chance Meet (5/16) with a mark of 217-6 (66.29).
2012-13: Did not compete during the 2012-13 season.
2011-12: Threw a personal best 208-7.0 (63.59) in the javelin throw to finish third at the Wake Forest Open, his first meet as a Blue Devil...placed fifth at the ACC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 203-1 (61.91)...finished in 22nd place in his first NCAA First Round appearance.
Prior to Duke: Lettered three years at St. Pius X and Pope John Paul II...PIAA Class AAA state champion in the javelin as a senior...also took the Class AA state title his junior year while setting the meet record...three-time PIAA District 1 Champion...won back-to-back conference titles...placed second in the javelin at the 2011 New Balance Nationals...named a NSSF All-American his final year...collected first team all-state honors...voted team captain and MVP as a senior...named Pope John Paul II High School Male Student-Athlete of the Year in 2011...National Honor Society member...National Merit Commended Scholar.
