Prior to Duke: Four-year letterwinner in track and field at William Fremd High School...2011 all-state and all-sectional honoree...earned all-conference honors in 2010...recipient of the 2012 Pat Brogdan Award...served as team captain during the 2011 and 2012 seasons...lettered one season in football, playing as a wide receiver...A.P. Scholar and member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Born July 1, 1994...son of Jeffery and Diane Vail...has one younger brother (Caleb)...uncle Rick Beswick graduated from Duke in 1988.
