DURHAM, N.C. -- This week's summer spotlight features redshirt senior guard Dave Harding, who will anchor Duke's offensive line from the left guard spot in 2013.
Harding is a three-year starter at guard and center, was a key member of an offensive line that allowed Duke to rush for 125.2 yards per game and pass for 283.9 in 2012. Harding and his fellow offensive linemen surrendered just 19 sacks in 13 games, good enough for the fourth fewest sacks allowed in the ACC.
A native of Orlando, Fla., Harding earned All-ACC honorable mention honors in 2012 and enters 2013 as a preseason All-ACC third team choice by Lindy's Sports. He is capable of playing all three offensive line positions for Duke and has played in 2,315 career snaps as a Blue Devil.
The Duke Football Summer Spotlight will run every Wednesday during the summer, leading up to the start of football camp in August.
