DURHAM, N.C. -- Recently, sat down with senior Dave Harding to learn more about the Orlando, Fla., native. Name your three favorite things about being a student-athlete at Duke.
Dave Harding: Being set apart from the rest of the student body. People respect the fact that you have two major commitments, so I kind of like that challenge and the prestige that goes along with that. Second of all, I like winning games for Duke and representing this awesome university. And third, my teammates – getting to know some awesome people, whether it’s my teammates or the support staff around the university and even the administrators. Everybody really supports us, so it’s good to build relationships with them. What is your favorite ‘on the field’ memory?
DH: Beating North Carolina. Being on the field for that special pass to Jamison [Crowder] was just something that I’ll never forget. What is your favorite ‘off the field’ memory?
DH: Going to Ethiopia with the offensive linemen. That was such a great experience for everybody involved and life-changing. Describe Coach Cutcliffe in three words.
DH: Devoted, intense and respectable. Name three things that motivate you to perform.
DH: My teammates, myself and just winning. What are three things you would like to do in the next 10 years?
DH: I’d like to figure out what career I want to have. I wouldn’t mind finding a wife eventually. And I’d like to travel a little bit. Name three of your favorite restaurants in Durham.
DH: Spartacus, Tobacco Road and Pizzeria Toro.
