DURHAM, N.C. – Four Duke players were named to the Phil Steele Midseason All-ACC team, including first-team punt returner and second-team wide receiver Jamison Crowder and first-team punter Will Monday.

Along with Crowder and Monday, redshirt sophomore safety Jeremy Cash was named to the second team and redshirt senior cornerback Ross Cockrell was a third-team choice.

Crowder, a 5-9, 175-pound junior, leads the ACC with 47 receptions, 618 receiving yards, 17.5 yards per punt return and two punt return touchdowns. A three-time ACC Player of the Week, he ranks second with 159.0 all-purpose yards per game and is among the top five nationally in yards per punt return and punt return touchdowns.

Monday, a 6-4, 210-pound redshirt sophomore, is a reigning All-ACC first team selection and currently ranks third in the ACC with 44.2 yards per punt. He has placed seven of his 27 punts inside the opponent 20-yard line, has booted seven punts of at least 50 yards and seen only one of his punts called a touchback.

Cash, a 6-2, 210-pound safety, ranks second in the ACC with 9.7 tackles per game and leads Duke with two interceptions. Named ACC Player of the Week following Duke’s win over Troy on Sept. 28, he has 6.0 tackles for loss – the second most on the team – along with one forced fumble, two pass breakups and one quarterback hurry.

Cockrell, a 6-0, 190-pound cornerback who earned All-ACC first team honors one year ago, has 25 tackles, three pass breakups, one interception, one sack and 2.0 tackles for loss. He is a key piece of a Duke defense that has limited opponents to 208.5 passing yards per game and just 8.7 points in the second half of games.

Duke returns to the field this Saturday, Oct. 19, against ACC foe Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. The game, which airs on Regional Sports Networks, will kick off at 3:30 p.m.
