Issac Blakeney looks to build off a 2012 season in which he finished as the team’s fourth-leading receiver behind the trio of Conner Vernon, Jamison Crowder and Desmond Scott. Blakeney, who played tight end in 2012 before converting to wide receiver last spring, amassed 32 receptions for 290 yards and a touchdown while playing in all 13 games.DURHAM -- Redshirt junior wide receiver
Pegged to work primarily out of the slot this season, the 6-6, 235-pound native of Monroe, N.C., has a reception in 12 consecutive games and had multiple catches in 10 games in 2012. Along with Vernon, he was part of the most prolific WR-TE pass-catching duo in school history last season, combining for 117 receptions with the Duke record holder.
