DURHAM, N.C. - Summer is a critical time for any college football program. Veteran players and freshmen alike take the field and hit the weight room for weeks in an effort to prepare for fall training camp.
This offseason, the athletes aren't the only ones working hard. Thanks to the diligence of those involved with its construction, the Pascal Field House, an 80,000 square-foot facility that will house a 120-yard playing surface for the school's football program and other on-campus recreational activities, is just weeks away from completion.
Every Wednesday, GoDuke.com will provide an updated look at the building, which is scheduled to open its doors in August. Be sure to check back each week and monitor its progress as the Blue Devils count down to the beginning of the 2011 football season.
