DURHAM, N.C.- Recently, sat down with senior offensive tackle Kyle Hill to learn more about the Orlando, Fla. native. What's your favorite movie?
Kyle Hill: "The Patriot". Do you have any superstitions or pre-game rituals?
KH: Oh my gosh, so many. I wear the same underwear...I wash them of course...when I travel, and the same one's on game day. I wear the same pair of socks. I eat the same stuff every game day and the night before. We have our team meals, so on Friday nights I always do steak, green beans, lasagna, and an ice cream bar. Then on game days I do chicken, a roll, some more green beans, and spaghetti. What's on your bucket list?
KH: I'd like to see every state in the U.S. or at least go and not just visit, but eat what they are popular for. I also want to eat a 72 oz. steak. What's your favorite home cooked meal?
KH: Steak, baked potato, and green beans. Describe Coach Cuttcliffe in one word.
KH: Persistent. He never gives up on anything. He's a great motivator. Who's your dream date?
KH: I don't know, I'm pretty set on my girlfriend now (laughs). What's your worst habit?
KH: If I didn't play football I would say I eat too much, but I play football so it's not a big deal. Who would play you in a movie?
KH: I would say Brock Lesnar, but he's not an actor. People tell me I look like him. So, I'll say the Rock, I don't know, he's a big guy, or John Cena maybe. I wish I knew how to ______
KH: Juggle. I think it'd be cool to juggle. I've tried it before and it didn't work. What is your favorite class at Duke?
KH: Possibly the "Getting Rich" class, it was really interesting. What was your hardest class at Duke?
KH: Financial Accounting. It killed him. Who has the most impact on your life and why?
KH: I think my dad does. He is always there for me and always has a lot of good advice. We are really similar, so if I ever have to talk to him about something or ask him any questions, he always has the answers for me. I think it works well because he is similar in the sense that he is a friend so I can talk to him because we have all the same interests. We grew up around cars and stuff and no one around here is like that, so I'll call him up and say, "I just saw this nice car today", I do that with my twin brother too. We all call and talk to each other the same way. Who would you trade places with for a day?
KH: I think maybe an executive, a real high power executive, just to see what it's like. It would be interesting to know what it would be like to make a lot of money and be in charge of a lot of people. What's the biggest obstacle you've had to overcome in regards to football?
KH: I would say redshirting. The biggest obstacle was just not playing; because you come from being the best guy on your team in high school to not even playing in college. I think that was the biggest thing, just trying to get through that first year of not playing. What was your first car?
KH: 1994 Ford Bronco and I've still got it; it's got 302,000 miles on it and still holding on strong.
