DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke football team, under the direction of fifth-year head coach David Cutcliffe, will report to campus on Sunday with the first preseason practice slated for Monday evening.

“We’re excited to get started,” said wide receiver Conner Vernon, one of 15 seniors on the 2012 roster.  “The enter team has worked hard all summer long to prepare, and I think we’re ready to have a great camp.”

Duke returns 43 lettermen and 17 starters from a year ago, and the annual “Meet the Blue Devils” event is slated for Saturday, August 18 at 6 p.m. in the Pascal Field House.  The 2012 campaign will mark the 100th season in Duke football history.

The Blue Devils open the season at home on September 1 against FIU at 7 p.m., and season tickets are available online at www.GoDuke.com/tickets or by calling the Duke Athletic Ticket Office at 919-681-BLUE.
