Team Notes:
•    For the first time in school history, Duke had four players score at least 20 points: Jabari Parker (22 points), Rodney Hood (22), Quinn Cook (21) and Rasheed Sulaimon (20). Duke previous had three players score at least 20 points 41 times.
•    Duke had a 20-point scorer in a season opener for the first time since Nolan Smith scored 22 points against Princeton on Nov. 14, 2010.
•    Duke shot 70.4 percent (38-of-54) from the floor for the sixth highest field goal percentage in a game in school history and Duke’s highest since Duke shot 71.2 percent (37-of-52) against William & Mary on Nov. 26, 1985.
•    Hood and Parker combined for 44 points, 15 rebounds, three assists, three blocks, one steal, 17-of-20 (.850) shooting from the floor and 5-of-5 from three-point range.
•    Duke shot 13-of-21 (.619) from three-point range for the team’s highest three-point shooting percentage (minimum 10 attempts) since a 12-for-17 (.706) outing at Virginia Tech on Feb. 21, 2013.
•    Duke’s 111 points were the team’s most in a season opener since a 121-56 win over N.C. Central on Nov. 9, 2007. It was the seventh 100-point game in a season opener under Coach K and the 11th such game in school history.
•    Duke’s 111 points were also the most by the Blue Devils since a 114-55 win over Pennsylvania on Dec. 31, 2009.
•    Duke topped the 100-point plateau for the first time since a 110-70 win over Western Michigan on Dec. 30, 2011. Duke has scored over 100 points 179 times all-time and 110 times under Coach K. Duke is 174-5 all-time in those games and 108-2 under Coach K.
•    Duke used the starting lineup of Quinn Cook, Rodney Hood, Amile Jefferson, Jabari Parker and Tyler Thornton. Parker is the 24th Duke freshman to start the season opener under Coach K.
•    For the first time in 107 games, Duke’s starting lineup did not include a Plumlee brother. Either Miles or Mason had started every game since the 2010-2011 season.
•    Duke committed just four turnovers for the team’s fewest turnovers in a game since a four-turnover game on March 5, 2013 against Virginia Tech.
•    Duke won its 17th consecutive home game. The Blue Devils went 16-0 in Cameron Indoor Stadium during the 2012-13 season.
•    Head coach Mike Krzyzewski improved to 958-297 (.763) overall and 885-238 (.788) at Duke. Krzyzewski is the all-time NCAA Division I leader in wins and ranks second in wins at one school behind Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim.
•    Duke won its 801st game at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The Blue Devils are 801-153 (.840) all-time in Cameron Indoor Stadium and 443-58 (.884) under head Coach K.
•    Duke improved to 90-17 all-time against Davidson in Duke’s most played non-conference series. Duke is now 25-1 against the Wildcats under Coach K with 25 consecutive victories.
•    The 111 points were the third most scored in the Davidson series and the highest Duke total since a 113-76 win at Davidson on Jan. 29, 1975. Davidson’s 77 points were the Wildcats’ fifth most in the series.
•    Duke won its 14th consecutive season opener and improved to 32-2 in season openers under Coach K.
•    Duke improved to 33-1 in home openers under Coach K with 32 consecutive victories in the first home game of the season.
•    Duke sold out Cameron Indoor Stadium for the 356th consecutive game. The last time Duke did not have a sellout crowd at home was Nov. 16, 1990 against Boston College.
•    Duke scored 59 points in the first half for the Blue Devils’ highest scoring half since a 66-point effort in the second half against Colgate on Nov. 19, 2010.
•    Duke made 10 consecutive field goals in the second half as part of a 29-13 run. Four different Blue Devils hit five consecutive three-pointers during that stretch.
•    Duke held Davidson to 3-of-21 shooting from three-point range while also allowing just four assisted field goals.

Player Notes:

Quinn Cook
•    Scored in double figures for the 27th time in his career with 21 points on 7-of-9 shooting. It was Cook’s fourth career 20-point game.
•    Played a team-high 34 minutes and did not commit a turnover. Cook finished with eight assists.
•    Shot 3-of-5 from three-point range and hit both three-point attempts in the second half.

Rodney Hood
•    Tied with freshman Jabari Parker for the team lead with 22 points while totaling nine rebounds, two blocks and one assist.
•    The 22 points were the most in a debut by a Duke transfer under Coach K, topping the 16-point performance by Roshown McLeod on Nov. 20, 1996.
•    Finished 9-of-10 from the floor and 2-of-2 from three-point range.
•    Hit his first shot as a Blue Devil, a three-pointer from the elbow.
•    Followed his only miss with a tip-in and went on to hit his final six shots.

Amile Jefferson
•    Drew his eighth career start.
•    Sank all four field goal attempts en route to 10 points and his seventh career double-figure scoring game.

Matt Jones
•    Scored his first career point on a free throw and finished with five points on 1-of-4 shooting.
•    Led the team with three steals.

Jabari Parker
•    Became the 24th Duke freshman to start the season opener under Coach K. Krzyzewski has picked a freshman to start the opener in four straight seasons.
•    Parker’s 22-point game was the fifth by a Duke freshman in a season opener under Coach K.
•    Scored Duke’s first basket of the season, hitting a pull-up jumper on his first attempt.
•    Made his first five shots and finished 8-of-10 shooting, including 3-of-3 from three-point range.
•    In his first two minutes of play, scored five points, grabbed two rebounds and dished an assist to Amile Jefferson under the basket.
