Duke 79, Michigan 69

Team Notes:
•    Duke improved to 13-2 all-time in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge and 5-0 when playing those games in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke has won three of its past four Big Ten/ACC Challenge games during that span.
•    Duke had a 20-point scorer for the ninth straight game, as Quinn Cook led the team with a season-high 24 points. Duke has 16 20-point games this season, including seven from Jabari Parker, five from Rodney Hood, two from Cook and one from Rasheed Sulaimon.
•    Duke put the game away with an 11-2 run in the second half that included three consecutive three-pointers – two from Andre Dawkins and one from Quinn Cook – from the 9:01 mark to 6:34.
•    Quinn Cook, Rodney Hood and Jabari Parker all scored in double figures together for the seventh time in Duke’s nine games. Those three are Duke’s top three scorers and combine to average 56.0 of Duke’s 86.1 points per game (.650).
•    Duke held a 32-22 lead at halftime, giving the Blue Devils a halftime lead in every game this season.
•    Duke used the starting lineup of Quinn Cook, Josh Hairston, Rodney Hood, Jabari Parker and Tyler Thornton for the third straight game, marking the third time this season that Duke has started all three team captains (Hairston, Hood, Thornton). Cook, Hood and Parker have started every game this season.
•    Duke shot over 80.0 percent from the free throw line for the third time in the past four games. The 15-of-18 (.833) performance ranks tied for Duke’s best percentage this season, matching the 25-of-30 (.833) clip Duke had against Vermont on Nov. 24.
•    Duke extended its non-conference home-court winning streak to 107. Michigan is the seventh ranked non-conference Duke opponent Duke has beaten on Coach K Court during that span.
•    Duke has lost back-to-back games just one time since the start of the 2009-10 season. The Blue Devils are 21-1 in games following a loss during that span with the only consecutive losses coming in the 2012 ACC Tournament and NCAA Tournament.
•    Mike Krzyzewski improved his all-time record to 964-299 (.763) and his Duke record to 891-240 (.787). Krzyzewski is the NCAA Division I all-time leader in victories and ranks second for victories at one school.
•    Coach K passed current Philadelphia University (NCAA Division II) head coach Herb McGee for third all-time in wins across any division of college basketball. McGee owns a 963-388 (.713) record at Philadelphia during a 45-year career that began in 1967.
•    Duke played its 221st straight game as a top-10 team. The Blue Devils are 183-38 (.828) in those games.
•    Duke improved to 22-8 all-time against Michigan and 16-5 under Coach K. Duke has won three in a row against the Wolverines and 10 of the past 11 meetings.

Player Notes:
Quinn Cook

•    Recorded his second 20-point game of the season and fifth of his career. Cook scored all 24 of his points in the second half, shooting 6-of-8 from the field, 2-of-4 from three-point range and a perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line.
•    Dished out nine assists for his fifth game this season with at least eight assists. Cook committed just two turnovers for his seventh game with two or fewer turnovers.
•    Increased his ACC-leading assist average to 6.3 per game and bumped his assist-to-turnover ratio to 3.56.
•    Joined teammate Rodney Hood as the only Blue Devils this season to sink double-digit free throws without a miss in a game. Hood hit 12-of-12 free throws against East Carolina on Nov. 19.
•    Made his 43rd consecutive start, the longest active streak on the team.
•    Scored in double figures for the sixth straight game and eighth time this season.

Andre Dawkins
•    Knocked down all three field goal attempts, including a pair of three-pointers, to finish with eight points. All eight points came in the second half. All eight points came in seven minutes of second-half action.

Rodney Hood
•    Scored in double figures for the eighth time in nine games, finishing with 14 points.
•    Hit a three-pointer for the sixth straight game, finishing 1-of-5 from behind the arc.

Amile Jefferson
•    Sank all three field goal attempts to finish with six points and six rebounds in 17 minutes of action. Also added two assists, a block and a steal.
•    Sank every field goal he attempted for the fifth time in Duke’s nine games. Jefferson leads Duke with a .733 (22-of-3) field goal percentage this season.
•    Tied Jabari Parker for the team lead in rebounds.

Jabari Parker
•    Scored in double figures for the ninth straight game, totaling 15 points on 7-of-14 shooting. Parker leads Duke with 22.1 points per game, which is on pace to snap Duke’s freshman scoring record of 17.1 set by Gene Banks in 1977-78.
•    Snapped a streak of recording a block and a steal in seven consecutive games. Parker also finished without a block for the first time in his collegiate career.
•    Led Duke in rebounds for the seventh time in nine games.

Marshall Plumlee
•    Contributed two points, three rebounds and a block in six minutes of action. The three rebounds – two of which were on the offensive end – matched a career high he set at Miami on Jan. 23, 2013.
•    Sank a layup on a pass from Quinn Cook for his third career made field goal. Two of Plumlee’s three field goals have come on assists by Cook.
