Duke Holds 70-Play Situational Scrimmage

DURHAM, N.C. – Three Duke quarterbacks combined to throw four touchdown passes while the Blue Devil defense logged three interceptions during a 70-snap situational scrimmage on Monday morning at Wallace Wade Stadium.

Anthony Boone had two touchdown passes while Brandon Connette and Thomas Sirk each fired one while directing the Duke offense.  Connette led the group by completing 13-of-22 throws for 125 yards while also rushing for one touchdown.  Wide receiver Terrence Alls caught a scrimmage-high five passes while fellow wideout Johnell Barnes was on the receiving end of two scoring tosses.  Running back Joseph Ajeigbe paced the ground attack with nine carries for 40 yards and one touchdown.

Defensively, cornerback Breon Borders, linebacker Chris Holmes and safety Deondre Singleton registered one interception apiece.

The Blue Devils will hold their annual Spring Game on Saturday, March 1 at 12 noon in Wallace Wade Stadium.
