DURHAM, N.C. -- This week's Duke Football Summer Spotlight highlights redshirt senior offensive tackle Takoby Cofield, who returns as one of three returning starters on Duke's offensive line in 2014.
Cofield, a 6-4, 305-pound native of Tarboro, N.C., has anchored Duke's offensive line at the left tackle spot for the past two seasons and enters 2014 with 29 consecutive starts and 38 total games played in his career. Cofield played a career-high 1,037 snaps this past season while helping the Duke offense set a school record with 54 touchdowns.
Duke returns 44 letterwinners (20 offense; 21 defense; three special teams) and 17 starters (eight offense; six defense, three special teams) from a squad that went 10-4 overall and 6-2 in the ACC while reaching the Chick-fil-A Bowl a year ago.
