DURHAM, N.C.—Three different players tallied goals to lead the Duke men’s soccer team to a 3-0 exhibition win over Radford this evening at Koskinen Stadium. Freshman Brian White scored his first goal in a Blue Devil uniform, while a trio of goalies combined to post a shutout.

Senior captains Sean Davis and Jake Butwin both added goals in the win as the Blue Devils improved to 2-0 in exhibition games. Duke beat Old Dominion 6-1 in the opener last weekend.

Duke carried much of the possession in the opening 45, but was unable to execute in the final third. With Davis controlling play through the midfield, the Blue Devils earned a free kick 30 yards from in the 37th minute. The Holmdel, N.J., native step up and struck a perfect ball into the far right side netting for the 1-0 lead.

In the second half, rookies White and Cameron Moseley got on the scoresheet with a goal and an assist. Just 10 minutes in, sophomore Seo-In Kim slipped a pass from the right sideline to Moseley, who with a good individual effort to get open, fed White 12 yards out for the goal.

Butwin closed out the scoring with three seconds left in the 90-minute game off a pass from freshman Macario Hing-Glover.

Overall, Duke held a 17-7 advantage in shots, holding Radford to just three shots in the second half. Joe Ohaus earned the start and made one stop. Wilson Fisher made one save and Simen Omholt-Jensen came on in the final 10 minutes to clinch the shutout.

The Blue Devils finish the exhibition season Friday night against College of Charleston. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Koskinen Stadium. Admission is free.

The season officially gets underway Aug. 29 against Loyola Marymount at 7:30 p.m.
