  • Duke returned home for the first time since Sept. 2 this afternoon. After its trip to Alabama next week, Duke will play four consecutive games at Wallace Wade Stadium vs. Florida State, Miami, Vanderbilt and Navy.
  • Including today’s loss, Duke now has a 27-31 record in the series vs. Virginia. Duke still leads the series, 14-12, in games played in Durham.
  • Duke drops to 35-46-1 in Homecoming contests, including a 1-5 vs. Virginia.
  • The Blue Devils’ captains today were Eli Nichols, Deonto McCormick and Codey Lowe.
  • Duke junior RB Ronnie Drummer returned to action this afternoon after missing the previous two games with an injury suffered in the Richmond game on Sept. 2.
  • Sophomore Marcus Jones started at WR today. He made starts at WR for Duke in 2005. He had a career-high four receptions today for 42 yards.
  • Sophomore Adrian Aye-Darko made his first career sack today for Duke. He had a career-best seven tackles today.
  • Duke’s defense registered three QB sacks in the first three games. Today the Blue Devils had five sacks vs. Virginia, including a team-best 1.5 by Aye-Darko.
  • Sophomore LB Michael Tauiliili has now had at least one tackle for loss in each of the first four games this season. He had two today vs. Virginia and six this season. He now has at least one TFL in 12 of his 15 career games.
  • Sophomore SS Glenn Williams career-high eight tackles this afternoon vs. the Cavaliers.
  • Duke returns to action next week at Alabama. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM ET (6:00 PM local time) in Tuscaloosa.
