DURHAM, N.C. - Coming off of a two-win spring opener against ACC rival Clemson and Eastern Michigan last weekend, the Duke rowing team takes to the water again this Saturday and Sunday, March 16-17, at the Cardinal Invitational on Melton Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
In the inaugural regatta hosted by Louisville, Duke will compete in 17 races, including two each on Saturday in the V8, V4, N8, 2V8, 2V4 and 3V4, and one each on Sunday in the V8, V4, N8, 2V8 and 2V4. Duke will compete against host Louisville, Notre Dame, Kansas, Eastern Michigan, Alabama and reigning NCAA Champion Virginia.

The V8 crew of Caroline Kiritsy (cox.), Emily Theys, Claire Vannelli, Grace Cassidy, Laura Sciarrino, Tara Dalton, Hannah Hewitt, Alex Stonehill and Katie Dukovich edged Clemson by less than two seconds last Saturday and will look to keep that momentum in three races this weekend.

In the V4, Ashleigh Anne McKinney, Mary Wilson, Rachel Wolsfelt, Dana Lerro and Sydney Johnson will look to build on their 7:46.2 showing last weekend that trailed Clemson by just over six seconds in their first race.
In the 2V4, Sarah Baker, Emily Hyland, Patricia Kolman, Jeanette Llorens and Kathleen Lyons will look to earn their second straight win after topping Clemson on March 9.
In the N8, Jane McConnell, Heather Seeley, Courtney Bibbs, Lily Zheng, Ashley Heywood, Masha Taskindoust, Ivonna Dumunyan, Lauren Musso and Nicole Favre will compete. Duke's 2N8 includes Karolina Wadolowska, Kshipra Hemal, Amber Oliver, Sarah Wall, Noura von Brisen, Katie Walter, Jessica Prescott, Katherine Chernova and Emily Hadley.
