• Duke will have one final warm-up before the ACC Tournament when it takes on Rutgers Saturday night
• The Blue Devils’ eight-game win streak is the longest active streak in the nation

Scouting Rutgers
Rutgers enters the weekend with a 2-11 overall record ... The Scarlet Knights nearly upset Syracuse last weekend, falling to the Orange 12-11 in a fourth-quarter rally ... Scott Klimchak is the top scorer with 29 goals and 35 points overall, while Nick Depaolera has 17 goals and 14 assists for 31 points ... Joseph Nardella has taken all but eight faceoffs and sports a 203-of-310 (.655) record at the X ...  Nardella also has 115 ground balls to his name ... Nick Contino leads the defense with 19 caused turnovers ... In goal, Kris Alleyne sports a 9.40 goals against average and a .601 save percentage in 657 minutes of action ... Eight of the Scarlet Knights’ losses have come  by two or fewer goals with five of those coming by a single tally.

Last Time We Met
Robert Rotanz netted four goals to lead the Blue Devils to a 16-8 victory over Rutgers. The win was head coach John Danowski’s 300th career victory, landing him in elite company with five other coaches at the time to reach that benchmark ... Dan Wigrizer made six saves in the game as eight different Blue Devils tallied a goal ... Rutgers had three players with two scores apiece, while goaltender Rudy Butler had 16 stops.
 
Battle at the X
Saturday night’s game will feature two of the top faceoff men in Division I lacrosse ... Rutgers’ Joseph Nardella owns a .655 win percentage at the X to rank third nationally, while Duke’s Brendan Fowler is right behind him at .647 ... Fowler has 214 faceoff victories and Nardella has 203.

Duke in the Month of April
Duke is 168-171 all-time in the month of April ... Often starting to play their best lacrosse in April, the Blue Devils are 29-5 in the month since 2007 ... Duke went undefeated in the fourth month of the year from April 7, 2007 - April 23, 2010 ... The Blue Devils have lost just three regular season games in the month of April under head coach John Danowski.

Duke Offense on a Hot Streak
After starting the year 2-4, Duke has won eight straight and done so in high scoring fashion ... The Blue Devils have outscored their opponents 118-71 in the eight games and are shooting .341 percent in that stretch ... Duke has scored 11-plus goals in seven of the eight wins and 17-plus in fourth of those ... Rookie Case Matheis and junior Josh Dionne are starting to hit their strides at attack with 17 and 20 goals, respectively and 52 points total, while junior Jordan Wolf maintains his pace with 31 points from 20 goals and 11 assists.

Reaching the Perfect 10
Since 2007, Duke is 93-6 when scoring at least 10 goals in a game ... The Blue Devils are 11-22 when being held to fewer than 10 scores ... Duke is 25-22 when allowing 10 goals in a contest and is 78-6 when holding opponents under 10 goals.

Against Unranked Opponents
Since 2005, Duke is 50-3 against unranked opponents ... The Blue Devils’ losses to unranked foes all came against Ivy League schools ... The first was a 9-6 setback against Harvard, Feb. 22, 2009 and the most recent were a 7-3 loss to Pennsylvania, Feb. 26, 2011 and a 14-9 setback to the Quakers this season.

Duke in the RPI
The Blue Devils came in at No. 7 in the second RPI released by the NCAA this week ... Duke joins Maryland and North Carolina among ACC squads in the top 10 ... Duke’s four losses have come against the Nos. 1,2,8, and 9 in the rankings

Wolf’s 54 points this season have pushed him to 16th on the Duke career scoring chart with 170 points ... He is 28 points out of the top 10 ... In 54 career games, he has amassed 170 career points from 98 goals and 72 assists ... He tallied 51 points in his rookie season and had 65 points his sophomore campaign.

Walsh Joins Century Club
Junior Christian Walsh became the 40th Blue Devil to reach the 100 career points mark with a pair of assists in the win over Georgetown ... With 66 goals and 40 assists, Walsh joins Jordan Wolf as current players on the Duke list.

Wolf Nearing 100 Career Goals Mark
Wolf’s 98 career goals leave him two shy of becoming the 15th Duke player to register 100 career goals ... His 98 goals are the most by any current Division I junior and rank 13th among active players ... Zack Greer holds the Duke career record with 206, the lone Blue Devil to surpass the 200-goal mark.

Offit Coming Through in the Clutch
In Duke’s four wins by three or fewer goals, Offit has netted a crucial goal in the fourth quarter to help secure the win ... Against Loyola, the Bethesda, Md., native broke open a 6-6 tie with 9:40 left as Duke went on to win 9-8 ... He gave Duke a two-goal lead, 10-8, with 2:35 remaining versus North Carolina and then had the go-ahead goal against Harvard with 5:25 to play ... In the most recent victory over Virginia, Offit scored the tying goal and then assisted on the team’s 19th tally to secure the win.

Duke will take a break from regular season action next week with the ACC Tournament … The third seed overall, the Blue Devils will take on North Carolina in Chapel Hill … The game is set to face off at 7:30 p.m., in Kenan Stadium and will be televised live on ESPNU.
