DURHAM, N.C. – After earning NCAA First Team All-America honors in March at the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s Swimming and Diving Championship, junior diver Nick McCrory has also received All-America recognition from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, as announced by the organization Tuesday.

A nine-time NCAA First Team All-American across the three diving disciplines, McCrory captured his third national title this spring in the men’s platform diving event. He also turned in a pair of runner-up finishes on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards to garner All-America honors in all three events. The Chapel Hill, N.C., native’s performance at the championship meet secured the Duke men a 17th-place finish out of 40 programs in the final team standings, with the 17th-place finish marking the highest for the men’s program during McCrory’s career in Durham.

Overall, McCrory closed out the 2012-13 campaign with an NCAA title, three All-America accolades and three Atlantic Coast Conference titles. He was selected the Most Valuable Men’s Diver of the ACC Championships meet and the ACC Male Diver of the Year, in addition to becoming the most decorated diver in the history of the ACC with a total of seven conference diving crowns for his career.
