WR JAMISON CROWDER: Returned a punt 76 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to give Duke a 14-0 lead … the 76 yards marked the seventh-longest punt return in Duke history … first career punt return for a touchdown … 39th punt return for a TD in Duke’s history … had 175 total yards … had a career-best 113 punt return yards, making him the seventh Blue Devil to have 100+ punt return yards in a game … the 113 punt return yards are the fourth-most in a single game in school history … also caught six passes for 62 yards

WR ISSAC BLAKENEY: Hauled in his second career touchdown on a 19-yard pass from Brandon Connette in the third quarter

CB ROSS COCKRELL: Recorded his 30th career pass breakup to move into a tie for fourth place on Duke’s career list … registered four tackles on the day

WR MAX McCAFFREY: Had a career-best three receptions on the day for 25 yards … caught two passes for 24 yards on Duke’s opening drive … caught two passes all of last season

RB JELA DUNCAN: Rushed 11 times for 76 yards and one touchdown … his fifth career rushing touchdown came on a three-yard run in the third quarter

QB BRANDON CONNETTE: Completed 5-of-8 passes for 55 yards and two touchdowns … the two TDs were his fourth and fifth passing touchdowns of his career … first passing TD came on a three-yard toss to TE Braxton Deaver with 5:09 remaining in the first quarter … the touchdown was Duke’s first TD of the 2013 season … also connected with WR Issac Blakeney on a 19-yard touchdown in the third quarter …threw for a touchdown in second straight game after tossing a TD in the 2012 Belk Bowl against Cincinnati … rushed five times for 22 yards with one touchdown … recorded his 18th career rushing touchdown with a one-yard run in the second quarter … accounted for a career-high three touchdowns on the afternoon … has accounted for 24 career touchdowns

TE BRAXTON DEAVER: Made his return to the field after missing the entire 2012 season due to injury … caught three passes for 16 yards … hauled in first career touchdown on a three-yard pass from Bandon Connette with 5:09 remaining in the first quarter … the touchdown was Duke’s first TD of the 2013 season

DE KENNY ANUNIKE: Recorded 10th career sack with a takedown in the opening quarter

WR BRANDON BRAXTON: Returned to the offensive side of the ball after spending the 2012 season on defense … caught four passes for 43 yards

LB KYLER BROWN: Recorded his first career sack with a takedown in the third quarter … also caused a fumble on the play, the second caused fumble of his career … finished the game with three tackles

DE DEZMOND JOHNSON: Posted his first career fumble recovery in the third quarter

TE NICK SINK: Saw action on the offensive side of the ball after spending the 2011 and 2012 seasons as a defensive lineman … caught first career pass, an 11-yard throw from Brandon Connette
