DURHAM, N.C. -- Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior Perry Simmons to learn more about the Raleigh, N.C., native.
GoDuke.com: Name your three favorite things about being a student-athlete at Duke.
Perry Simmons: The friendships and camaraderie with the guys on the team, being a part of the awesome academic institution of Duke and the opportunity to play in front of so many different people in the ACC with the huge crowds in all of the stadiums is awesome.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite ‘on the field’ memory?
PS: The UNC game. The touchdown pass went right over my head, I saw Jamison go up in the air and flip around and land on his back. It was crazy. And then when all the students started storming the field, it was definitely the best memory.
GoDuke.com: What is your favorite ‘off the field’ memory?
PS: Going to Ethiopia with the offensive line a couple summers ago.
GoDuke.com: Name three foods you can’t live without.
PS: Steak, Chipotle burritos and french fries.
GoDuke.com: Describe coach Cutcliffe in three words.
PS: Tough, disciplined and caring.
GoDuke.com: Name three places you would travel to if you could.
PS: Peru, I’d love to see Machu Picchu, I’d love to visit Rome and I’d love to visit France and see the beaches of Normandy.
