Mollie Pathman and Laura Weinberg have been selected to the Capital One Academic All-District III first team, following a vote by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University senior women’s soccer standouts
The honor for Pathman marks the third straight year she has been selected and the second straight first team accolade. Weinberg received first team honors for the second consecutive season. Both Pathman and Weinberg will move on to the national ballot for Capital One Academic All-America.
A native of Durham, N.C., Pathman has played in 81 career games in a Blue Devil uniform, while totaling 17 goals, 26 assists and 60 points. Pathman has registered four assists and two goals on the year playing at the forward, midfield and defense positions. A three-time ACC All-Academic Team and ACC Honor Roll selection, Pathman has earned Dean’s List accolades a total of six times at Duke. She is majoring in psychology along with obtaining a markets and management certificate and owns a 3.92 grade-point average.
One of the top scorers in Blue Devil history, Weinberg has totaled 39 goals, 22 assists and 100 points over the last four years. The Boca Raton, Fla., product ranks second all-time in points, third in goals and tied for fifth in assists on the Duke record books. A 2012 Soccer America MVP selection, three-time All-ACC and three-time All-ACC Academic Team honoree, Weinberg is majoring in sociology and history along with obtaining a markets and management certificate with a 3.47 grade-point average.
The 25th-ranked Duke women’s soccer team will take on fourth-ranked North Carolina on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 7:00 p.m., as the Blue Devils close the regular season in Chapel Hill, N.C.
