2011-12: Highlighted an outstanding junior campaign by earning an NCAA indoor title in the heptathlon in record breaking fashion...final point total of 6,138 set a conference and school record and ranked third on the all-time national collegiate list...after trailing by 236 points heading into the final event, turned in a world-record-breaking performance of 2:23.63 in the 1,000 meters for the come from behind victory... broke six personal records throughout the seven-event competition...earned first ACC title in the heptathlon with a point total of 5,862...Duke's top indoor performer in the 60m dash, 1,000m, 60m hurdles, long jump and heptathlon...earned numerous national and conference awards for his athletic and academic achievements...outdoors, earned second team All-America honors in the long jump and 800m by finishing in 15th and 16th place at the NCAA Championships...Duke's top performer in the 100m dash, 400m dash, 800m, 110m hurdles, long jump and decathlon...finished the season at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team Trials where he placed 11th in the men's decathlon.
2010-11: Duke's best finisher in the 60m hurdles, long jump and the heptathlon during the indoor season...was the lone collegiate athlete competing against some of the world's best at the Millrose Multi Challenge in January...at that event, cleared a personal-best 6-8.75 in the high jump to tie for first and register the No. 5 performance on Duke's all-time list...helped the Blue Devils capture their second consecutive title in the DMR at the Armory Collegiate, running the 800m leg in 1:49.5...at the ACC Indoor Championships, broke his own school record with a 5,816-point performance in the heptathlon, placing second and collecting All-ACC honors...at the ACC's, established a new personal best with a leap of 24-1.5 in the long jump, which also ranks third on Duke's all-time list...advanced to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships for the second-straight year...finished 13th in the heptathlon at the championship meet, scoring 5,637 points to earn second team All-America honors...capped an impressive outdoor season with a second-place showing in the decathlon at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, scoring a school-record 8,084 points to garner All-America accolades...posted the second-fastest time ever in the 1,500m at the NCAA's, clocking a personal-best 3:59.13 for a new NCAA record...also at the NCAA Championships, won the 400m in 46.90, which ranks as the No. 2 performance on the Duke all-time list...won the long jump at the IC4A Championships with a leap of 24-3.5, the third best all-time among Blue Devil athletes...at the ACC Outdoor Championships, placed third in the decathlon to garner All-ACC honors...cleared 6-8 in the high jump at the ACC's for a season-best performance...was part of a 4x800m relay squad that established a new program record, 7:25.20, at the Penn Relays...closed the season as Duke's top performer in the 100m, 400m, 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, long jump and the decathlon.
2009-10: Indoors, one of Duke's top performers as a freshman...began the season with an IC4A qualifying 23-6 leap in the long jump at the Carolina Classic...a week later, helped Duke capture its second win in program history at the Armory Collegiate, running the 400m leg in 47.7 on the championship DMR squad...on day two at the Armory, ran an impressive 1:47.9 on the final leg of the 4x800m relay to propel the Blue Devils to first place as Duke set an Armory Track & Field Center record for the event...at the ACC Indoor Championships, broke the school record with a 5,579-point performance in the heptathlon, earning a third-place finish and All-ACC accolades in the process...became the first Devil male individual track & field athlete to make the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championship field since Bryan Allf in 1982...finished in 12th at the national championship meet with 5,533 points...also at NCAA's, ran a 2:27.88 for 1,000-meters to set a world record in the men's heptathlon run...outdoors, recorded Duke's top time in the 400-meters with a 48.73 showing at the Arizona State Invitational...turned in the Blue Devils' top mark in the 110m hurdles as well, clocking 14.67 at the same meet...missed the remainder of the outdoor season due to injury.
Prior to Duke: Five-year letterwinner at Albuquerque Academy...named the 2009-10 Gatorade National Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year...won a gold medal at the 2009 Pan American Junior Championships, finishing first in the decathlon with a score of 7,377...earned 17 state championships during his high school career, including four 110m hurdles, three long jump, three 300m hurdles and two high jump state titles...set the national high school record for the decathlon with 7,907 points as a senior...at the 2009 National Indoor Championships, scored 4,127 points in the pentathlon for the second-best mark in high school history...selected the 2007 and 2008 Gatorade New Mexico Runner of the Year...indoor national champion in the pentathlon in 2007, 2008 and 2009 ... also received Academic All-America accolades.
