DURHAM, N.C. – Four days after securing its first ACC road victory of the season, the Duke volleyball team puts an eight-match winning streak on the line Sunday Oct. 6 against Wake Forest in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Inside Access subscribers can watch the Blue Devil Network live video stream via GoDuke.com, while Duke’s official site will also carry live stats.

In addition, Duke (12-2, 3-0 ACC) will don pink and hold a “Dig Pink” silent auction in support of the Side-Out Foundation. Established in 2004, the Side-Out Foundation is a support and advocacy organization dedicated to making a significant and identifiable difference in the lives of breast cancer patients and their families by supporting clinical trials, increasing patient support services and educating communities.

More information about the Side-Out Foundation fundraiser will be available at the marketing table during the match.

Duke’s 12-2 overall record is the second-best in the ACC, trailing only No. 11 North Carolina’s 13-0 mark. At 3-0 in the conference, Duke joins UNC, Miami, Florida State and Pitt as one of five undefeated teams in the league. Duke opened ACC play with sweeps against Virginia and Virginia Tech before earning a four-set victory on the road at Notre Dame.

Duke’s roster boasts one of the top outside hitter tandems in the ACC in junior Jeme Obeime and sophomore Emily Sklar. Sklar leads the team with 161 kills, averaging 3.83 kills per set, while Obeime is right behind her with 153 kills. Rightside hitter Elizabeth Campbell has topped the 100 kill plateau as well, knocking down 124 this season. Junior setter Maggie Deichmeister has been key to the Blue Devils’ offensive production. The Whitehall, Pa., native has amassed a team-high 499 assists and also leads the squad with five double-doubles.

In the middle, the Blue Devils have relied on senior Chelsea Cook and freshman Jordan Tucker. Both players have put down at least 88 kills, including 101 from Cook, while the pair has also combined for 79 blocks.

Defensively, Duke has benefited not only from the play of senior libero Ali McCurdy, but also that of freshman defensive specialist Sasha Karelov. McCurdy leads the team with 201 digs and 16 service aces, while Karelov ranks third on the team with 101 digs. McCurdy ranks second nationally among active players with 2,146 career digs, 54 shy of the school record (2,200 -- Jenny Shull).

Wake Forest (11-3, 0-2 ACC) began the 2013 campaign 11-1, marking the best start in program history. However, the Demon Deacons fell in their first two ACC matches, a 3-1 setback against Virginia Tech and a 3-0 loss to Virginia. Wake Forest takes on Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., Friday evening before traveling to Durham for Sunday’s match.

Senior middle blocker/rightside hitter Kristin Grissom leads all Demon Deacon players with 156 kills this season. Senior outside hitter Kylie Hargreaves ranks second on the team with 154, while sophomore middle blocker Matalee Reed is the third Wake Forest player to top 100 kills, coming in at 112.

Duke holds a 46-15 all-time record versus Wake Forest. However, the Demon Deacons have won four of the in-state rivals’ past five meeting, including both contests in last season’s home-and-home series. When playing in Cameron, the Blue Devils are 22-4 against Wake Forest in program history.

Duke kicks off a four-match road swing next weekend with trips to North Carolina Oct. 11 and NC State Oct. 13.
