Duke Volleyball Awaits NCAA Tournament Assignment

DURHAM, N.C. – The ACC Champion Duke volleyball team will learn its first-round NCAA Tournament assignment this Sunday, November 28, during the 2010 NCAA Volleyball Championship Selection Show which airs on ESPN News from 3 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Duke (24-6, 16-4 ACC) won its 10th ACC Championship in 2010 and will make its ACC-record sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this season. The Blue Devils, led by ACC Player of the Year Kellie Catanach and ACC Coach of the Year Jolene Nagel, have made more NCAA Tournament appearances (16) than any other ACC school.

Duke has advanced into the second round of the national tournament in four of the past five seasons and owns an all-time record of 15-9 in NCAA Tournament play. The Blue Devils have earned NCAA Tournament bids in nine of Nagel’s 12 years as head coach.
