Dunworth and Catanach Named to NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team
Juniors Sophia Dunworth and Kellie Catanach were named to the NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team after leading Duke to the NCAA Regional Final. For the NCAA Championship, Dunworth led Duke with 50 kills and reached double figures in all four matches. Catanach totaled 165 assists.

Duke Takes Set from Penn State in NCAA Regional
Duke became the first team since 2006 to win a set against Penn State in the NCAA Regional Round. Penn State had previously swept six consecutive opponents in the Regional Semifinals and Finals. Prior to Saturday, Penn State had not lost a set in the Regional Round since a 3-1 loss to Washington on December 9, 2006.

Blue Devils Win Set on Penn State's Home Court
Duke became only the third team in 2010 to win a set against Penn State on its home court in Rec Hall. Penn State had swept 16 of 18 opponents entering Saturday's match while going a perfect 18-0 at home. Only Duke, No. 19 Minnesota and Purdue managed to win a game against the Nittany Lions at home this season.

Duke Holds Penn State to .272 Hitting Percentage
Duke held Penn State to a .272 hitting percentage, marking the fifth-lowest clip of the season for the Nittany Lions. Penn State entered the Saturday match hitting a Big Ten-best .316. For the season, Duke held all but two of its opponents to under a .300 hitting percentage.

Duke Ties for Sixth-Most Wins in School History
Duke finished the 2010 season with a 27-7 overall record to tie for the sixth-most wins in school history and the third-most under 12th-year head coach Jolene Nagel. The Blue Devils tied last year's squad which went 27-6.

Duke Wins School-Record Three NCAA Championship Matches
Duke defeated High Point (3-0), Ohio (3-2) and Missouri (3-1) to win three matches in the NCAA Volleyball Championship for the first time in school history. Duke had previously won two matches in the 1993 NCAA Volleyball Championship to reach the Elite Eight.

Duke Reaches Elite Eight for Second Time
The Blue Devils reached the NCAA Round of Eight for the second time in school history and the NCAA Regional Final for the first time. Duke reached the NCAA Elite Eight in 1993 when the tournament fielded 48 teams.

Smalzer Finishes Career Ranked 3rd All-Time in Digs
Senior outside hitter Claire Smalzer finished her four-year career with 1,620 digs which ranks third in school history. Smalzer served as Duke's libero in 2008 and 2009 before switching to the outside as a senior and finished second on the team with 422 digs in 2010.

Smalzer Posts Double-Digit Digs for 24th Time in 2010
Duke outside hitter Claire Smalzer had a team-high 21 digs, marking the 24th time this season that she has reached double figures in that category. Smalzer collected 10 or more digs in 84 of her 127 career matches.

Dunworth Reaches Double-Digit Kills for Fourth Straight Match
Junior outside hitter Sophia Dunworth posted 12 kills to reach double figures for the fourth consecutive match. Dunworth turned in 10 or more kills in all four of Duke's NCAA Championship matches and led the team with 50 for the tournament.

Catanach Extends Assist Streak to 24 Matches
ACC Player of the Year Kellie Catanach extended her streak of consecutive matches with at least 30 assists to 24 after dishing out 37 against Penn State. Catanach, who led the ACC with 11.29 assists per set, has not finished with fewer than 30 digs since Sept. 11, 2010, when she had 23 against No. 12 Minnesota.
