DURHAM, N.C. - Kellie Catanach, Christiana Gray and Ali McCurdy of the Duke volleyball team were all named to the AVCA All-East Region Team, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Tuesday.

Catanach earned her third straight selection to the all-region squad while both Gray and McCurdy earned their second regional nods. Those three were also named to the All-ACC team after leading Duke to a 21-9 record and the program's ACC-record seventh consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.

Duke has now placed at least two players on the All-East Region team for seven consecutive seasons. Catanach, a 2010 All-American third team selection, is the fourth player in school history to appear on the team three times.

Catanach, a setter from Tampa, Fla. (Plant), wrapped up her four-year career with the second most assists in school history. Her 5,364 career assists also ranks ninth on the ACC's all-time list, and she is only the third player in school history to post four of 1,000 assists.

Gray, a junior middle blocker from Carmel, Ind. (Cathedral), led the ACC in hitting percentage for the second straight year and ranks ninth in the nation in the category. She became even more of a focal point in the Duke offense in 2011 and set career highs in kills, attacks and hitting percentage while also averaging 1.01 blocks per set.

McCurdy, a sophomore libero from Tampa, Fla. (Plant), broke Duke's single-season digs record with 653 pickups this season and was the anchor of a Duke defense that held opponents to a .196 hitting percentage. She led the ACC by nearly 100 digs and ranked 12th nationally in digs per set. In addition to becoming the fastest player in Duke history to reach 1,000 digs, McCurdy's career average of 5.24 digs per set is on pace to shatter the school record of 4.76 digs per set.
