LB Kyler Brown: Logged a career-high 14 tackles, surpassing his previous career high of six which he has reached four times this season ... the 14-tackle performance was the second double-digit tackle day by a Duke freshman this season

CB LEE BUTLER: Logged Duke’s longest kickoff return of the year with a 43-yard return in the second quarter that set up a 9-yard scoring run by Sean Renfree ... left the game in the second half after suffering a knee injury on a kickoff return

S WALT CANTY: Finished the game with seven tackles, marking the 19th consecutive game in which he has finished with at least five tackles ... pushed his team-leading tackle total to 96 through 11 games in 2012

RB JELA DUNCAN: Rushed six times for 39 yards to lead Duke in rushing for the sixth time this season… moved into sole possession of eighth place on Duke’s single-season list for rushing yards by a freshman … for the season, has rushed 93 times for 452 yards, and his per attempt average of 4.86 ranks fourth on Duke’s single-season chart for rookies (SEE CHART PAGE 193 MG)

DE Justin Foxx: Carded a career-high 11 tackles, surpassing his previous high of seven that he set as a redshirt freshman in 2010 ... had nine tackles in the second half

LB CJ France: Logged a career-high 15 tackles, tying for the highest single-game total by a Duke player this season ... 12 of his tackles were solo stops ... 12 of his tackles came in the first half ... his previous career high for tackles in a game was nine in the 2012 season opener versus FIU

K ROSS MARTIN: Totaled six points on one field goal and three PATs … booted a career-long 50-yard field goal, tying for the 16th-longest field goal in Duke history ... Martin’s 50-yarder was the 20th Duke field goal of 50 or more yards in school history ... pushed his team-leading point total to 89 ... moved into third place on Duke’s single-season scoring chart … extended own single-season scoring record for Duke freshmen to 89 points … extended own single-season field goals made record for Duke freshmen to 17 ... his 17 field goals are tied for the second most in a single season at Duke ... moved into second place on Duke’s single-season PAT list with 38 this season

P WILL MONDAY: Punted twice for 105 yards and a 52.5 yards per kick average … on the season, has now punted 62 times for 2735 yards and a 44.11 average … season average of 44.11 ranks fourth on Duke’s single-season chart. .. booted both punts over 50 yards, giving him an ACC-leading 17 punts of 50+ yards on the season

QB SEAN RENFREE: Completed 24-of-36 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns … pushed his career passing yardage total to 8,675 and moved into 14th place on the ACC’s all-time list … now sits 80 yards shy of 289 yards shy of cracking the league’s all-time top 10 … increased his career pass completion total to 825 and moved into fourth on the ACC’s all-time chart ... threw multiple touchdowns in a game for the 12th time in his career, moving into a tie for fourth place alongside Dave Brown for the most in Duke history ... rushed for his ninth career touchdown, moving into a tie for fifth place on Duke’s list for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback ... moved into a tie for fourth on Duke’s career touchdown responsibility list with 55 ... extended his own Duke record for consecutive games with at least 10 pass completions to 33 ... has now thrown for 150 or more yards in 32 of the last 34 games dating back to the beginning of the 2010 season

WR DESMOND SCOTT: Caught 10 passes for 124 yards and a touchdown … extended his streak of consecutive games with at least one pass reception to 37, matching the second-longest streak (with Donovan Varner) in Duke history trailing Conner Vernon (46; active) … active streak is the seventh-longest among active players nationally … pushed his streak of consecutive games with at least two catches to 19, matching the third-longest such streak in school history … has now caught two or more passes in 33 games, matching the sixth-highest career total in Duke history

WR CONNER VERNON: Finished the day with five receptions for 38 yards … became the ACC’s all-time leader in pass receiving yards with 3,521, passing former Florida State standout Peter Warrick (3,517) … increased his ACC career record total to 262 receptions … established new ACC record for consecutive games with at least one reception at 46, breaking the previous standard of 45 the total set by North Carolina’s Corey Holliday … the streak is also the longest active streak in the nation ... extended own school record for most games with two or more receptions with 45 … extended his streak of consecutive games with at least two receptions to 26 – the third-longest streak in Duke history behind Clarkston Hines (28) and Donovan Varner (27)
