Hello Duke Fans!
Our last day in Europe was well spent in Milan, one of the top fashion cities! For 10 hours we explored the monuments of the city, shopped and sat outside relishing the city life at restaurants. At the center of the city is the Duomo di Milano. The cathedral took almost six centuries to complete and is the fifth largest cathedral in the world!
For our last dinner in Europe we enjoyed a typical Italian meal of salad, penne pasta, bread, and chicken. We got to dine outside with the pigeons (they are everywhere, and the people feed them!).
We are so grateful for these days we were given to experience new cultures and the various styles of volleyball through and with Duke Volleyball. For many of us the chance of coming to Europe would not have been a possibility without those who support and sponsor us. Thanks for beautiful memories and experiences that will last a lifetime!
Emily Sklar’s Thoughts on #DUVBeurotour:
“I liked being in cities such as Venice and Vienna because I felt like I was living in history. In Venice we never knew where we were, but it didn’t matter because there was always something beautiful around the corner!”
