DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke field hockey team announced the addition of four student-athletes to its 2013 roster Monday, February 11. Robin Blazing, Heather Morris, Savannah Story and Kelsey Wagner will make up the class of 2017.  These four women will be heading to Durham, N.C., from Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Massachusetts.

"I am proud to announce the signing of four exceptional student-athletes to the Duke University field hockey program," commented head field hockey coach Pam Bustin. "Each will contribute a unique skill, talent, and personality to Duke True, yet together they bring the passion and devotion necessary to win a national title. Our staff has worked, and continues to work; diligently to identify and embrace top-notch Duke prospects and this group is a product of that hard work"

Name: Robin Blazing
Position: Forward/Midfield
High School: Durham Academy
Hometown: Durham, N.C.

Honors: Third Team All-America honors (2012), two-time All-State honoree (2011, 2012),  three-time All-Conference honoree (2010, 2011, 2012), three-time All-Star team member (2010, 2011, 2012), two-time team MVP (2011, 2012), Team Captain (2012), North Carolina All Star Team (2010, 2011, 2012), National Merit Scholar (2012-13), AP Scholar with Honor (2011-12), National Merit Semi-Finalist

Coach Bustin's thoughts: "Robin is a familiar face around Duke field hockey as she is a Durham Academy graduate, a three year letter winner for Head Coach Judy Chandler,  and the sister of sophomore Blue Devil, Lauren Blazing. Robin's work ethic, competitive nature, and attention to detail form the foundation upon which Robin will inevitably build her collegiate field hockey success. Her drive to win and her relentless desire to score will complement the attitude and determination of our Duke field hockey squad.  I look forward to being a part of Robin's Duke field hockey career!"

Name: Heather Morris

Hometown: Pottstown, P.A.

Coach Bustin's thoughts: "Heather was the first of this class to commit, so it feels like she has been a part of our program for some time now! I am anxious to see Heather in her official Duke field hockey gear and to work with her on a daily basis. Heather has a wealth of playing experience for her age, playing for the successful Owen J. Roberts program under the helm of head coach Clarence Jennelle and internationally with our junior national teams, which should benefit her as she enters NCAA and ACC play. Her hockey instincts, superb skills, and her iron will to score should have an immediate impact on our game tempo and attacking variety above the 25 yd. line."

Savannah comes from the Ravenscroft field hockey program where she and head coach Kerry Norman lead their team to an impressive 48-10 record since 2010. Savannah possesses great leadership skills, an impressive ability to focus, and plays with a genuine love for the game. She is a Duke Blue Devil inside and out and her home state pride belongs on the turf of Jack Katz Stadium!"

Her efforts have paid off as we welcome her to Duke True and our Blue Devil family. Kelsey, will challenge our upperclassmen Ashley Camano and Lauren Blazing in the goal cage and inevitably increase the standard of our defensive performances."
