Career Statistics

Career:
Will be a tri-captain in 2012 ... owns seven career goals, including three game-winners.

Redshirt Sophomore (2011): Appeared in all 27 games and made two starts ... earned ACC All-Tournament Team honors, after scoring a goal against Wake Forest in the tournament ... a key player off the bench, she scored five goals and had one assist on the season ... scored four of her five goals in the postseason ... ranked fifth on the team with 40 shots taken ... scored two goals in the NCAA Tournament, including the game-winning goal over 24th-ranked Long Beach State on Nov. 25, and against Wake Forest in the NCAA College Cup Semifinals on Dec. 2 ... made a key save off the goal line at N.C. State to help lead Duke to the ACC regular season title ... played 1,166 minutes.

Redshirt Freshman (2010): Played in 20 games ... recorded two goals, scoring a goal in each victory over High Point and the win over Clemson ... assisted in the games against Francis Marion and North Carolina for a total of two assists ... took seven shots ... tallied 510 minutes ... member of  a defensive unit that registered 10 shutouts.

Freshman (2009): Did not play due to a torn right ACL.

Regional Team Experience:  Member of her ODP Region squad from 2008-09 ... traveled to Russia for the U-19 Regional ODP Tournament ... played in the ODP inter-regional tournament in Mississippi in 2008 ... Newsday Long Island Player of the Year ... recipient of the Mike Clarke Award - Nassau County Player of the Year MVP ... three-time All-County selection from 2006-08 ... team captain her senior year ... as a senior, scored a career-high 17 goals in addition to notching seven assists while leading her Nassau County Championship team to a record of 16-1-3 ... over her four-year career, led her team to four consecutive Nassau County Championships, including a state championship as a freshman ... scored seven goals and had five assists as a junior on a team with an overall record of 16-3-1 ... as a sophomore, netted three goals and dished out seven assists ... led her squad to a record of 13-5-1 ... scored one goal as a freshman on the state championship team earning a record of 19-1, while being ranked sixth nationally and first in the state ... played club soccer with the Massapequa Power from the U-10 level to the U-17 level ... team captain of the Power from U-14 to U-17, while earning the title of state champions from 2002-06 and becoming a state finalist in 2007 ... part of the CYO Swim team from 2002-09 where she excelled as a relay record holder and gold medal winner in the CYO finals ... holds the 50m breaststroke record at the 2009 CYO swim finals ... four-year member of the National Honor Society ... member of the National Art Honor Society ... NYS AHPERD Award (Outstanding Physical Education Student of the Year) recipient as a senior ... received the Massapequa Varsity White Letter Award and the Superintendant's Award as a senior. 

Personal: Full name is Kimberly Mary DeCesare ... was born on August 11, 1991, in Bethpage, N.Y. ... daughter of Bill and Anna DeCesare ... has one younger brother, William (18), who is a freshman at Virginia ... her cousin, Steve Kachmar, played football at Siena in 2003 and CW Post in 2006 and 2007, while her cousin, Chris Kachmar, played football at Ithaca College in 2007 and 2008 ... her uncle, Donald Christian, is a 1996 graduate of Duke ... looking to possibly pursue a career in sports medicine ... a 2010 and 2011 ACC Honor Roll selection ... majoring in sociology & evolutionary anthropology
