Prep: Four-year letterwinner at New Trier High School ... seven-time All-American ... guided New Trier to state titles as a junior and senior ... swam the lead-off leg of the state champion 200 and 400 freestyle relays his senior season ... the 400 freestyle relay also set a national record with a time of 2:59.76, becoming the first high school relay team to break the three-minute barrier ... the members of the 400 free relay were named the Chicago Tribune/WGN-Ch. 9 Preps Plus Athletes of the Month in Feb. 2012 ... placed fourth in the 200 free and fifth in the 100 fly at the state meet to earn all-state recognition in four events ... garnered all-state and all-sectional honors in seven events as a junior and senior ... also received all-conference recognition as a sophomore, junior and senior ... also competed on the water polo team for two seasons, receiving first team all-state and all-conference honors ... member of the New Trier Swim Club which captured the NCSA Junior National Boys Team Championship in 2012 ... named to the honor roll all four years.
