This week's installment of the Blue Devil Vault features Gerald Henderson, who lettered three seasons at Duke from 2006-09 before being selected 12th overall by the Charlotte Bobcats in the 2009 NBA Draft.
Henderson needed just three seasons to join Duke's 1,000-point club, scoring 1,262 points in a career that saw him earn All-American honors in 2009. As a junior that season, Henderson averaged 16.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game per game as the Blue Devils won the ACC Tournament and advaned to the NCAA Sweet 16.
In five NBA seasons, Henderson has emerged as one of the game's top young scorers, averaging more than 15.0 points pe game in three straight seasons. This season, he is averaging 15.1 points per game with career highs of 4.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists for the Bobcats.
