DURHAM, N.C.  With three quarters of the NBA season in the books, numerous former Duke Blue Devils begin gearing up to make a push for the league playoffs. Carlos Boozer, Mike Dunleavy and the Chicago Bulls sit in second in the Central Division while Shane Battier and the Miami Heat hold a commanding lead in the Southeast Division.

Individually, numerous former Duke basketball players are posting big games for their respective teams. Kyrie Irving continues to lead his team in points per game, assists per game and steals per game while Carlos Boozer, starting in all 58 games, averages the second most points per game for the Chicago Bulls this season.

Shane Battier
Forward - Miami Heat
Drafted: 1st Round (6th pick) by the Memphis Grizzlies (2001)
2013-14 Stats: 55 games, 4.5 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 0.9 APG, 0.6 SPG, 0.6 BPG
Battier has seen a decrease in minutes through the first half of March, averaging nearly 10 minutes less per game. Over the six-game stretch, Battier is averaging 2.7 points per game, 0.3 assists per game, 1.8 rebounds per game and 0.3 steals per game. In the final game of February, Battier saw his most significant playing time of the season, appearing in 35 minutes of action while facing the New York Knicks. Battier scored eight points on 3-of-6 shooting from the floor and 2-of-4 from beyond the three-point line. Battier also tied season highs in rebounds and assists, with five each.

Elton Brand
Forward - Atlanta Hawks
Drafted: 1st Round (1st pick) by the Chicago Bulls (1999)
2013-14 Stats: 54 games, 5.7 PPG, 4.9 RPG, 0.9 APG, 0.4 SPG, 1.3 BPG
With injuries at the center position for the Hawks, Brand saw considerable playing time in recent games, including a season-high 43 minutes of action against the New York Knicks on Feb. 22. Two games earlier, Brand posted a season-high 20 points against the Washington Wizards, shooting 7-of-11 from the field in 35 minutes. Brand also collected 11 rebounds in the contest, marking his first double-double of the season.  On Feb. 25, Brand collected a season-high 13 rebounds, his third double-digit rebounding game of the season.

Carlos Boozer
Forward - Chicago Bulls
Drafted: 2nd Round (35th pick) by the Cleveland Cavaliers (2002)
2013-14 Stats: 58 games, 14.1 PPG, 8.4 RPG, 1.5 APG, 0.7 SPG, 0.3 BPG
Boozer recorded 20 or more points for the 10th time this season after scoring 20 points against the Toronto Raptors, Feb. 19, shooting 7-of-13 from the floor and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line. Boozer also recorded eight rebounds in the Bull’s 94-92 victory. Since the scoring outburst, Boozer is averaging 11.5 points per game over a 12-game stretch. During the 12-game span, Boozer notched three double-doubles, bringing his total count to 19 this season.

Luol Deng
Forward - Cleveland Cavaliers
Drafted: 1st Round (7th pick) by the Phoenix Suns (2004)
2013-14 Stats: 51 games, 16.5 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 2.9 APG, 1.1 SPG, 0.2 BPG
Deng scored double-digit points in nine of his last 11 appearances, including a 21-point outburst that came on 6-of-15 shooting from the floor against the Toronto Raptors. Deng added 11 rebounds, marking his seventh double-double of the season and his third with the Cavaliers. Since joining the Cavaliers on Jan. 7, Deng is averaging 13.9 points per game. 

Mike Dunleavy
Forward - Chicago Bulls
Drafted: 1st Round (3rd pick) by the Golden State Warriors (2002)
2013-14 Stats: 64 games, 10.9 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 2.2 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.5 BPG
Dunleavy led the Bulls in scoring Feb. 25, netting 22 points on 6-of-15 shooting, including converting on  4-of-9 from beyond the arc. Dunleavy also collected eight rebounds and four assists in a season-high 48 minutes of action against the Atlanta Hawks. The contest marked the seventh game this season that Dunleavy played in 40 or more minutes and the sixth time this season the small forward scored 20 or more points.

Gerald Henderson
Guard - Charlotte Bobcats
Drafted: 1st Round (12th pick) by the Charlotte Bobcats (2009)
2013-14 Stats: 59 games, 14.6 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 2.6 APG, 0.7 SPG, 0.3 BPG
Henderson has missed five of the Charlotte Bobcats most recent games due to a calf strain. Prior to the injury, the shooting guard was averaging 10.0 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game and 1.6 assists per game. Henderson posted a season-high seven assists against the Detroit Pistons.

Kyrie Irving
Guard - Cleveland Cavaliers
Drafted: 1st Round (1st pick) by the Cleveland Cavaliers (2011)
2013-14 Stats: 61 games, 21.5 PPG, 3.5 RPG, 6.3 APG, 1.4 SPG, 0.3 BPG
In his most recent outing, Irving scored 30 points against the New York Knicks, marking the ninth time this season the point guard netted 30 or more points in a game. Irving remains the team leader in points per game, assists per game and steals per game. Irving has scored double-digit points in all but two contests this season.

Josh McRoberts
Forward - Charlotte Bobcats
Drafted: 2nd Round (37th pick) by the Portland Trail Blazers (2007)
2013-14 Stats: 63 games, 8.5 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 4.1 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.6 BPG
McRoberts recorded 10 assists, four points, two blocks and four rebounds in a Bobcats’ 92-82 loss Feb. 28. McRoberts also added three steals, nearly matching his season-high four steal. The power forward has scored double-digit points in five of his last 11 appearances, including a game in which McRoberts posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds against the Detroit Pistons Feb. 18.  

Mason Plumlee
Center - Brooklyn Nets
Drafted: 1st Round (22nd pick) by the Brooklyn Nets (2013)
2013-14 Stats: 50 games, 6.3 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 0.4 APG, 0.7 SPG, 0.7 BPG
Plumlee saw significant playing time in four of his last nine appearances following a two-game stretch where the power forward did not enter the game. In nine games, Plumlee is averaging 6.8 points per game. Plumlee saw a strong showing against the Denver Nuggets, posting three blocks and adding nine rebounds and 10 points.

Miles Plumlee
Forward - Phoenix Suns
Drafted: 1st Round (26th pick) by the Indiana Pacers (2012)
2013-14 Stats: 61 games, 8.6 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 0.5 APG, 0.7 SPG, 1.3 BPG
Plumlee, currently day-to-day with a knee injury, returned to the Suns’ lineup after sitting two games. The center narrowly missed a double-double in his second game back, scoring 12 points and collecting nine rebounds. Plumlee also added two blocks in the Suns’ 112-105 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers.

Shavlik Randolph
Forward - Phoenix Suns
Drafted: Undrafted FA by Philadelphia 76ers (2005)
2013-14 Stats: 4 games, 3.0 PPG, 2.3 RPG, 0.0 APG, 0.3 SPG, 0.0 BPG
Randolph signed with the Phoenix Suns March 1 and since appeared in four games. In his second game donning the Suns’ jersey, Randolph scored a season-high nine points on 3-of-4 shooting from the floor and 3-of-4 shooting from the free-throw line. Randolph is averaging 8.0 minutes of action per game with the Suns.

J.J. Redick
Guard - Los Angeles Clippers
Drafted: 1st Round (11th pick) by the Orlando Magic (2006)
2013-14 Stats: 30 games, 15.7 PPG, 2.1 RPG, 2.2 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.1 BPG
Redick remains out for the Los Angeles Clippers due to a back injury that has sidelined the shooting guard since Feb. 3. Redick’s timetable for a return ranges from three to five weeks.

Austin Rivers
Guard - New Orleans Pelicans
Drafted: 1st Round (10th pick) by the New Orleans Hornets (2012)
2013-14 Stats: 51 games, 6.6 PPG, 1.4 RPG, 1.7 APG, 0.6 SPG, 0.1 BPG
Rivers scored a season-high 19 points to open the month of March, shooting 7-of-14 from the field in 30 minutes of action against the Los Angeles Clippers. Four games later, the shooting guard recorded five assists, matching a season high for Rivers.

Kyle Singler
Forward - Detroit Pistons
Drafted: 2nd Round (33rd pick) by the Detroit Pistons (2011)
2013-14 Stats: 64 games, 9.3 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 0.8 APG, 0.8 SPG, 0.5 BPG
Singler continues to see substantial playing time for the Detroit Pistons, averaging over 35 minutes in the month of February and 33 minutes at the midway point of March. Singler nearly matched a season-high with 20 points Feb. 21 against the Atlanta Hawks, shooting 7-of-11 from the field. Singler concluded February with a points per game average of 12.6, scoring double-digit points in 11of his 13 appearances.

Ryan Kelly
Forward - Los Angeles Lakers
Drafted: 2nd Round (48th pick) by the Los Angeles Lakers (2013)

: 41 game, 7.4 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 1.2 APG, 0.4 SPG, 0.7 BPG
Kelly returned to the starting lineup for the Los Angeles Lakers Sunday, scoring 12 points and adding five rebounds, eight assists, one steal and two blocks against the Oklahoma Thunder. The performance comes on the heels of a 24-point effort from the power forward against the Denver Nuggets two nights earlier. Kelly also collected 11 rebounds, the first double-double of his career. Kelly is also averaging double-digit points through five games in March.
