Team Notes:

•    Duke improved to 15-6 in the all-time series against St. John’s, which began in 1938. Mike Krzyzewski improved to 15-3 all-time against the Red Storm, including a 6-1 mark in Durham. Duke has won six straight games against St. John’s in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
•    Duke won its 94th consecutive home non- conference game. The last time Duke lost to a non-conference team in Cameron Indoor Stadium was on Feb. 26, 2000, against St. John’s.
•    After having a 45-game home win streak snapped last Saturday against Florida State, the Blue Devils responded with the six-point win over St. John’s. Duke has not lost back-to-back games in Cameron Indoor Stadium since February 2007. Duke has not lost more than one home game in any of the last five seasons.
•    For the 11th time this season, Duke scored 80 points in a game. The Blue Devils are 11-0 this season and 512-46 (.871) under Coach K when scoring at least 80 points. Duke scored 45 points in the first half and has now scored at least 40 points in 21 of 42 halves this season.
•    St. John’s freshman Moe Harkless became the first player to score 30 points against Duke this season and the first to reach that mark in Cameron Indoor Stadium since Miami’s Jack McClinton scored 34 on Feb. 7, 2009. He is the first freshman to score 30 points against Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium since Virginia’s Courtney Alexander scored 30 on Feb. 14, 1996.
•    Led by a career-high 17 rebounds by Mason Plumlee, Duke outrebounded St. John’s 39-36 and has now outrebounded five consecutive opponents. Duke has outrebounded eight of 11 opponents at home and owns a +8.0 rebounding margin per game in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Plumlee’s 17 rebounds tied for the most by an ACC player this season.
•    Duke shot 76.2 percent (32-of-42) from the free throw line, scoring a season-high 32 points on free throws, while St. John’s shot just 52.4 percent (11-of-21). Duke has shot at least 70 percent from the line in five of the last seven games. The Blue Devils shot over 70 percent in just five of their first 14 games.
•    Duke hit 10-of-11 free throws in the final 3:50 of the game. With the lead cut to four points with 20 seconds remaining, Ryan Kelly and Tyler Thornton hit four in a row to secure the win.
•    Duke had four players score in double figures for the 13th time this season. Duke improved to 13-1 when at least four players score in double figures.
•    Duke held St. John’s scoreless over a 5:07 span in the first half from the 17:48-12:41 on the clock. The Blue Devils went on a 9-0 run during that span to build a 14-8 lead. Duke had two separate runs of at least seven consecutive points in the first half, outscoring the Red Storm 9-0 from 17:48-12:41 and 7-0 from 8:15-6:48.
•    The Blue Devils closed out the first half on a 20-9 run over the final 8:44. Andre Dawkins hit three three-pointers during that run, including back-to-back treys in the final three minutes.
•    St. John’s did not hit a three-pointer in the first half and shot 31.3 percent (5-of-16) from three-point range for the game.
•    Duke allowed St. John’s to score on back-to-back possessions just once in the first half. After every Red Storm score, including free throws, the Blue Devils responded with points of their own.
•    The Blue Devils threw down six dunks in the game with Mason Plumlee recording three, Ryan Kelly two and Miles Plumlee one.
•    After scoring 40 points in the paint in a 74-61 win over Maryland on Wednesday, Duke scored just 26 points in the paint against St. John’s. Duke got 21 points from three-pointers and a season-high 32 from free throws.
•    Duke averaged 1.12 points per possession for the game and scored on 38 of 75 trips down the court (50.7 percent). The Blue Devils are one of the most efficient offenses in the country, ranking rank tied for eighth in the country with 1.15 points per possession.
