DURHAM, N.C. – Shane Battier and the Heat are trying to go to the NBA Finals for the third consecutive season, as the Heat and Miles Plumlee’s Pacers are tied in the best of seven series, 2-2. The winner of the series will face the Spurs in the NBA Finals, as San Antonio knocked off the Grizzlies in four games.

Battier has played a key role for the Heat in the 2013 NBA Playoffs, logging just under 23 minutes per game. In the series against Indiana, Battier logged his best game of the series in Game 3 against the Pacers, as he had seven points, two rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes of game action. In Game 4 of the series, Battier recorded four points and two rebounds in 17 minutes of game action. Battier has continued to be a key contributor for Miami’s defense this postseason. He ranks 29th in the postseason in free-throw percentage at 80-percent.

He bounced back-and-forth to the D-League throughout the season with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants. The winner of the Pacers and Heat series will face the Spurs in the NBA Finals.
