Duke 78, Florida State 56

Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski
•    Won his 900th game at Duke, becoming only the second coach in NCAA history to win 900 games at one school. Only Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim (936) has more wins at one school.
•    Improved his career record to 973-301 (.764), the most wins of any NCAA Division I head coach.

Team Notes:
•    Duke outrebounded Florida State 47-24, marking the second straight game Duke has outrebounded its opponent by double digits. Duke’s +23 rebounding margin was a season high and Duke’s largest since outrebounding Boston College 45-21 (+24) on Feb. 19, 2012.
•    Duke hauled in a season-high 27 offensive boards, including a combined 17 from Jabari Parker (10) and Marshall Plumlee (7). Duke finished with more offensive rebounds than Florida State had total rebounds (24). Parker’s 10 offensive rebounds tied for the most by a Duke player in the Coach K era and the fourth most in school history. Elton Brand also had 10 offensive rebounds against Florida State on Feb. 17, 1999.
•    Duke scored 29 second-chance points, marking the second straight game – and third time this season – that Duke has gotten at least 20 points on second-chance opportunities. Jabari Parker’s 10 offensive boards led to 12 points, while Marshall Plumlee’s seven offensive rebounds set up seven points.
•    Duke improved its home winning streak to 28 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the nation. Duke is 12-0 in Cameron Indoor Stadium this season.
•    Florida State held a 15-13 rebounding advantage over the first 13:30, but Duke posted a 29-13 advantage on the glass the rest of the way.
•    Duke held Florida State to 56 points, marking the seventh straight home game in which Duke has held the opposition under 70 points. Duke is outscoring the opposition 86.7-66.0 (+20.7) at home this season.
•    After scoring just 15 points in the first 10 minutes of play, Duke outscored Florida State 28-13 over the final 10 minutes of the first period to build a 43-25 halftime lead. Duke has led at halftime in 19 of 20 games this season and has yet to trail at the break.
•    Duke used the starting lineup of Quinn Cook, Andre Dawkins, Amile Jefferson, Matt Jones and Jabari Parker for the first time this season. Dawkins was a late addition to the lineup in place of Hood. Cook and Parker have started all 20 games in 2013-14.
•    Duke played its 238th consecutive game as a ranked team. The Blue Devils are 197-40 (.831) during that run, which began at the start of the 2007-08 season.

Player Notes:

Quinn Cook
•    Made his 54th consecutive start, the longest active streak on the team.
•    Hit a three-pointer in the 16th straight game and finished 1-of-4 from three-point range. Cook’s 16-game streak is the second longest on the team, trailing only the 17-game tear by Rodney Hood.

Andre Dawkins
•    Scored in double figures for the ninth time this season and 39th time in his career, finishing with 11 points. Dawkins has scored in double figures in six of his past 11 games.
•    Hit 3-of-5 three-pointers, marking his third straight game with multiple treys and eighth game this season with at least three three-pointers.
•    Scored Duke’s first six points of the game, connecting on a pair of three-pointers in the first two minutes.
•    Was a late addition to the starting lineup in place of Rodney Hood, who was a late scratch from the starting five.

Rodney Hood
•    Was a late scratch from the starting lineup due to illness, but bounced back to lead Duke with 18 points while hauling in a career-high nine rebounds. Hood scored 14 points in the second half in just 13 minutes of action.
•    Scored in double figures for the 18th time in 20 games and extended a streak of eight straight double-figure scoring games.
•    Shot 9-of-11 from the free throw line to increase his season free throw percentage to .847 (72-of-85).
•    Led Duke in scoring for the eighth time this season and team-high fourth time in ACC play. Hood is averaging a team-leading 18.4 points per game in Duke’s seven ACC games.
•    Hit a three-pointer in the 17th straight game, the longest active streak on the team. Hood finished 1-of-4 from three-point range and is shooting an ACC-leading .449 (40-of-89) from three-point range this season.

Amile Jefferson
•    Grabbed at least six rebounds for the 12th straight game.  Jefferson hauled in three offensive rebounds, marking the 10th time in the past 11 games he has multiple offensive rebounds.

Jabari Parker
•    Logged his team-leading sixth double-double of the season, finishing with 14 points and 14 rebounds. Parker’s six double-doubles rank tied for the third most by a Duke freshman alongside Luol Deng (2003-04) and Shelden Williams (2002-03). His six double-figure rebounding games rank tied for fourth among Duke freshman, matching Deng’s total.
•    Equaled a Coach K-era record for most offensive rebounds in a game, grabbing 10 to match Elton Brand’s total against Florida State on Feb. 17, 1999. The 10 offensive rebounds are the most by a freshman in school history.
•    The double-figure scoring game was Parker’s 19th in 20 games this season.
•    Tied a career high with three steals. Parker has two three-steal games in his past three outings.

Marshall Plumlee
•    Recorded career highs of seven points and seven rebounds while also hitting his first career free throws and finishing 3-of-4 from the free throw line. All seven of Plumlee’s offensive rebounds were on the offensive glass.

Rasheed Sulaimon
•    Scored in double figures for the eighth time this season and sixth time in the past nine games. Sulaimon is Duke’s top scorer off the bench, averaging 10.3 points when not in the starting lineup. Seven of his eight double-figure scoring games have come off the bench.
•    Hit all eight free throw attempts, setting season highs in both free throws made and attempted.
