Scheyer Adds Two More All-America Honors

INDIANAPOLIS – Duke senior Jon Scheyer continued to collect All-America honors on Friday, being named to the Wooden All-America team and the NABC State Farm Coaches’ All-America second team.
 
Scheyer, a guard from Northbrook, Ill., has now been named to six different All-America teams. He is one of 10 players in school history to score over 2,000 career points, ranking ninth on the all-time scoring list with 2,039. He also ranks in the top 10 on Duke’s career lists in games played (6th), minutes played (5th), three-point field goals made (4th), free throws made (3rd), free throw percentage (2nd) and steals (8th).
 
With 16 games of 20 or more points, Scheyer is enjoying his best season as a Blue Devil, scoring a team-high 18.2 points per game. He has set the single season record with 1,395 minutes played while posting career highs in field goals made (200), three-point field goals made (104), free throws made (186), rebounds (136), assists (183) and steals (62).
 
Scheyer and the Blue Devils will play West Virginia in the national semifinal game of the NCAA Final Four on Saturday at 8:45 p.m.
