Team Notes:

- Duke won its fourth national championship and has now claimed titles in three straight decades with wins in the finals in 1991, 1992, 2001 and 2010. All four national championships have come under head coach Mike Krzyzewski, tying him with Adolph Rupp of Kentucky for second most NCAA titles by a Division I head coach. Only John Wooden of UCLA has more with 10.

- Kyle Singler was named the Final Four Most Outstanding Player. Jon Scheyer and Nolan Smith were each named to the All-Final Four team.

- Krzyzewski has a 4-4 record in NCAA Championship games while his 12 victories in the Final Four are the second most to Wooden's 21. The Blue Devils have played in the national championship game in four of the last 12 seasons.

- The Blue Devils are now 2-0 in the NCAA Tournament against teams from the Horizon League. The Blue Devils faced Butler for the second time overall and now lead the all-time series 2-0. Duke won the previous meeting, 80-60, in 2003.

- Duke is making its 15th straight NCAA Tournament under head coach Mike Krzyzewski and 26th in his 30 overall seasons. Krzyzewski extended his NCAA record for tournament wins to 77. He has made the second most Final Fours (11) and coached in the most NCAA Tournament games (99).

- The Blue Devils improved to 35-5 on the season. The 35 victories are tied for the third most in a single season by a Duke team, equaling the total of the 2000-01 national championship team. In the last two seasons, Duke has won 65 games, the most in the NCAA and fifth-best in program history over a two-year span.

- Kyle Singler scored 19 points to join Jon Scheyer over 700 points on the season. The two players become just the second duo in school history to each score over 700 points in one season. The only other two players to each go over 700 points in the same season were Jason Williams (841) and Shane Battier (778) on the 2001 national championship team.

- All 61 of Duke's points were scored by the five starters as Butler had a 15-0 advantage in points off the bench.

- The Blue Devils held Butler to 59 points, extending its school record to 22 games where they have held an opponent under 60 points this season.
