DURHAM, N.C. - Five members of the Duke track and field team will travel to Fayetteville, Ark., to compete in three events at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships March 8-9.  Senior Juliet Bottorff will compete in the 5,000 meters, the longest event of the competition, and Cydney Ross will compete in the 800m.  Ross will also race in the distance medley relay with teammates junior Gabby Levac, sophomore Elizabeth Kerpon and freshman Anima Banks.

Both Ross and Bottorff have excelled on the national stage throughout their careers, earning First Team All-America honors at least once each.  In 2011, Bottorff earned the title of NCAA Champion in the women's outdoor 10,000m.

This season, Bottorff broke the ACC record in the 5,000m when she crossed the line in 15:52.38 in second place at the Husky Classic Feb. 8.  The Newark, Del., native ranks eighth in the country in the event and won gold at the 2013 ACC Indoor Championships.

Ross waited until this past weekend to earn her 800m qualifying spot by breaking the school record with a time of 2:05.27.  The St. Louis, Mo., native is peaking at the right time and has run two personal records in as many weeks.  Ross also finished first in the ACC Championships in the open 800m.

The Distance Medley Relay team comprised of Levac (1200m), Kerpon (400m), Ross (800m) and Banks (1600m) also waited until the final weekend to qualify for the championship event.  The team finished fourth at the Alex Wilson Invitational at South Bend, Ind., in 11:01.50 to earn the qualifying mark and smash the previous school record by over five seconds.

Live streaming of the two-day event will be available on ESPN3 Friday, March 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m. [ET] and on Saturday, March 9 beginning at 7:00 p.m. [ET].  The event will also air on ESPNU on March 17 beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Live stats via will also be available throughout the championship weekend.

A full recap will be available on at the conclusion of each event day.
