DURHAM, N.C.-- Coming off finishing her freshman season with the Duke women’s basketball team, Jenna Frush sat down with GoDuke.com to chat about her first year with the Blue Devils, the challenge of being a walk-on and the friendship of EJAK, among other topics.
Frush, who is out of Durham, N.C., comes from a family of Duke graduates as her brother, Ben, just graduated over the weekend, her brother, Jack, is a rising senior, her sister, Sarah, is a 2010 Blue Devil graduate and both her parents – Don and Karen Frush – are graduates from the Duke medical school. Frush saw action in nine games off the bench, after walking on over the summer of 2011.
As a team, Duke registered a 27-6 overall record, won the ACC regular season title for the third straight year and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the third year in a row. The Blue Devils will return four starters and 91 percent of their scoring next season.
