DURHAM, N.C. -- Recently, GoDuke.com sat down with senior Chelsea Gray to learn more about the Manteca, Calif., native.
GoDuke.com: Who has been the most interesting person you’ve met at Duke?
Chelsea Gray: I would have to say the late Jim Sabistan. He cared and knew so much about me before I knew him. And he was just a caring person, he was a fighter, and just cared so much about the team.
GoDuke.com: Do you have any hidden talents?
CG: I impersonate really well. I do some comedy people.
GoDuke.com: What is your dream job?
CG: Doing something on ESPN or playing basketball after college in the WNBA.
GoDuke.com: What is the best thing you can cook?
CG: I cook really good shrimp and chicken tacos and my fettuccine alfredo is really good.
GoDuke.com: Who has had the most impact on your life and why?
CG: My family, definitely. They’ve always been my rock and my support system and they’ve always been there for me to fall back on when I need them.
GoDuke.com: Who is your favorite athlete?
CG: Ever? I love Magic Johnson, I’m a Dwayne Wade fan right now, and I was an Allen Iverson fan growing up.
GoDuke.com: What is the coolest thing you did over the summer?
CG: Ugh, just rehab all day. That’s all I did, nothing really cool.
GoDuke.com: Which Duke sporting event other than your own do you like to attend?
CG: I go to a lot of football games, and volleyball, and I have a lot of friends that play women’s soccer so I go to a lot of their games.
GoDuke.com: What are your goals for the season?
CG: National championship, ACC championship, regular season championship, everything-Championship.
