Blue Devils to Highlight ESPN's Hoops Package

DURHAM, N.C.-  ESPN announced a new Sunday afternoon package as well as ESPN2’s Big Monday slate this afternoon with the Duke women’s basketball team featured five times during  the upcoming 2013-14 campaign.  

For ESPN2 Big Monday, the Blue Devils will host two contests on Feb. 10 and Feb. 17 as Duke will play North Carolina and Maryland, respectively.  Both games will tip at 7:00 p.m., in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Duke will feature three contests on the new ESPN Sunday package with the first coming on Feb. 2 vs. Notre Dame in Durham, N.C., with a tip time of 2:00 p.m.  On Feb. 23 at 1:00 p.m.,  Duke will travel to Notre Dame, while the Blue Devils will close the regular season on March 2 at 1:00 p.m., in Chapel Hill versus North Carolina.  All three games will be aired on ESPN.

All games will be accessible online at, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, through ESPN on Xbox LIVE to Gold members and on Apple TV to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.

Duke will return five starters in 2013-14, including 93.7 percent of its scoring.  The Blue Devils will welcome back All-America selections Chelsea Gray and Elizabeth Williams along with All-ACC performers Tricia Liston and Haley Peters.  Freshman All-America and ACC Tournament MVP Alexis Jones is the final returning starter for Duke.  A total of 11 letterwinners will return to the squad next season as head coach Joanne P. McCallie enters her seventh season with the Blue Devils.
