DURHAM, N.C. – Senior guard Tricia Liston was named Ronald McDonald House Charities Duke Student-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday following leading third-ranked Duke to victories over 24th-ranked Florida State and Pittsburgh this past week.

Liston, who is out of River Forest, Ill., averaged 24.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in the pair of ACC wins. She knocked down seven three-point field goals on the week to become Duke’s all-time leader in three-point field goals made with 224 for her career. Liston hit 16-of-24 field goals (66.7%) and 7-of-11 three-pointers (63.6%) in the two games.

In an 85-77 overtime win at 24th-ranked Florida State on the road, Liston scored 21 of her 25 points in the second half and overtime. She also notched five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot in a career-high 40 minutes.   On Sunday against Pittsburgh, Liston netted a game-high 23 points, four rebounds and three assists in only 27 minutes.  She hit 8-of-10 field goals and 3-of-4 three-pointers.  In the first half, Liston drained her first two attempts to move past Abby Waner’s previous record of 222.

Liston currently ranks No. 1 in the nation with a 51.3 three-point field goal percentage.

Duke will next travel to Miami on Thursday, Jan. 30 for a 7:00 p.m., contest in Coral Gables, Fla.   The game will be aired live on Comcast Sports Southeast.
